Digital MVDS Configurationn

MMDS is an acronym for terrestrial Multipoint Video Distribution system; it is a
new technology to broadcast multi transponder TV channels from a head end (Studio
to thousands of homes within 40km called the subscriber).

MVDS is a new version of the previous MMDS, which was able to broadcast 27 PAL TV
channels.
|
|

|
Nowadays, digital technology has improved wireless systems in many ways.
|

Digital streams can now carry multiple digital programs; one transponder can carry
up to 14 programs in 30 MHz bandwidth.
|

REG Digital MVDS system in the 11.7-12.5 GHz can be configured to broadcast up to
200 programs. Each 30 MHz wide can carry from 6-14 programs.

The Head end: A studio is prepared on a roof of a building where several Dish Antennas
are used for reception of different Satellite then all coming programs are selected
and combined to one output.

Many QPSK modulators sent the RF signals out by digital mixer to the broadband transmitter,
then microwave signals are sent to the Antenna.

Receiver systems require the use of small Dish(45cm) a standard LNB and a Set top
box DVB-S ,then the receiver convert the signal to A/V which can be receive by normal
TV set.
